2014
Happy new year! These guys were finally released by FFG and so I can post them. They were done for a board game named DESCENT and are even featured on the outside of the box as well as on the cards that are used playing the game. They were character designs and illustrations at the same time as they were then created as little figures that are used in the board game. My task was to design the creatures and make sure they would look good as dynamic models. It was the greatest gift for an artist to see his artwork turned into 3D models that my kids are now playing with. Thanks for watching!

Claymore and Chinchilla
Painted the Assassins Chinchilla a while back and thought I should post it. It is another character in the Rodent line-up. The other piece is a tribute to the anime series Claymore. Enjoy.

The Rodents
As part of a personal project this line-up comes from a short story that I am currently writing. A medieval world with battles between rivaling Rodents being fought in the forests. Had a lot of fun with it and each one of these guys has a history of their own.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching.

Rancor
Redesigning a classic creature such as the Rancor from Star Wars is not an easy task. Did this as a fun challenge to myself. Placed it in an arena where I imagine it stomping, tearing and impaling it's victims.

Spectrum 20
I am happy to share that my illustration has been chosen to be featured in the upcoming Spectrum 20.
The book features some of the best artists in Fantasy and Science Fiction Illustration and I recommend it to anyone interested in the field.

Mech
Street Patrol Mech concept. For those who may be wondering, the background is a photo I placed it on just for context as it's just a concept sketch. Wanted to do a ED 209 (from the movie Robocop) type of patrol bot or mech suit. Done in about 5h.

Assassins Creed 3
Click to Watch the TV Spot
Happy New Year everybody! So many things happened again this year and it's always good to look back at what you actually accomplished and so I wanted to share this - click the link above to see the spot. It was a TV spot that I was lucky enough to work on. With our creative team we pitched a number of ideas for TV spots and this one hit the mark. I then storyboarded the spot under the Art Director and we then worked with DIGIC Pictures who animated the final spot (although no sea battle and fight with the general). They did an amazing job as always and the project was a blast to work on. More to follow in 2013!

Sacramento Kings Knight
A recent project I worked on was to design and create a turnaround for a knight that would be created in 3D, but not just any knight - the Sacramento Kings Knight. First image is the final render that was created and below is my design sketch plus the turnaround.

Merchant of Venus
Over a year ago now I was asked to do a series of characters for a board game called Merchant of Venus. The thrill was that the Art Director really liked my work and trusted me to design all of the characters for the game when they usually have several artists work on such projects. The twist: I had a month to concept and illustrate 20 characters, aliens and robots next to my full time job. I had a blast doing this project and even though I was forced execute them without any real explorations I'm pretty happy with what gushed out of my gut instinct at the time. One of the characters is a virus that takes over it's host - his portrait is a petri dish.
Part 2 of the story is that once I completed all of the work (with additional character thumbnails) I received the news that the game was tied up in legal disputes and might never be published and due to the NDA I would never be able to show the work...gah. Luckily they were able to resolve them eventually - and now, after such a long time I am happy to announce that it is out and finally, finally I can share it with you.
Thanks for looking.

Movie Project
I was lucky enough to work on an undisclosed movie project recently. The task was to concept and sketch several poster ideas for a movie that is being pitched. The director I worked with is experienced to say the least and I have much faith in this. It was a blast to work on and I hope to do more in the future.
Now the big question - can you guess what the movie is about?
